Sanghamithra Rural Financial Services (SRFS) Coimbatore was established by MYRADA, a prominent NGO, with the mission to empower underserved communities by addressing their need for timely and affordable credit. Founded on February 15, 1995, SRFS operates as a "Not-for-Profit" organization under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 (now Section 8).
Though formally incorporated in 1995, our lending operations commenced in February 2000 after laying a solid foundation by implementing robust systems and procedures, and securing exemptions under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Guided by our commitment to financial inclusion, we work tirelessly to bring transformative change to those who are often overlooked by formal financial institutions.
